A day in our lives at Ellesmere

 For our work, Millie and I worked together to create a real-life day at Ellesmere college. For my part of filming, I wanted to show the difference in mine and Millie's day. For example, when she is asleep I am already on the bus to school. I showed this through editing by quick cross cutting and different locations. Millie and I wanted to incorporate Sergei Eisenstein's montage. We wanted to include a 'dramatic' shot and we did this by Millie spilling water over herself. By the use of montage we linked the water falling down Millie's shirt to the water in the toilet, both shots don't relate to one another but they have similar connotations which is what Eisenstein wanted his audience to realise.
